The ethnographic and folklore museum houses a small exhibition on various ethnic groups of Bolivia. The display includes a small collection of instruments, costumes, utensils/ceramic work, hunting tools, ceremonial ritual items such as masks and so on. It provides information on the various groups such as Chiquitanos, Ayoreos, Mojeños, etc. in Spanish and English version of the information is currently in progress. There is a small staff of approx. 8 who maintain the museum and an office nearby, also in the Parque del Arenal. The museum is now free to enter in order to make the collection accessible to all of the community. There appear to be quite a lot of school groups the visit the museum and use the books on the cultural groups. Also small lectures or teaching groups are held at the museum. The museum is a part of the large department of folkloric investigation and connected with this are a variety of projects that they are trying to set up, there are workshops held on cultural groups, traditional dance and music, there is also a project to encourage/teach/perpetuate traditional music with displays in the park, recordings being made etc. documentaries have also been produced on ethnic groups. There is a small collection of books on Bolivia and it's various indigenous groups in the museum but resources are limited. List of Volunteer Work activities:
