Project Information

Participants would work in the main Tourist Office in Santa Cruz. This is a great opportunity to find out about Bolivia visiting places and working on cultural aspects that give the country its identity.
There are about 15 staff working in the centre and about 20 more doing investigation and fieldwork.
The project funds come from government and donations.
The Project was created to motivate and promote, the artistic, cultural and tourist capability of Santa Cruz.Objectives
- To develop and foment the tourists flow
- To adopt policies to develop the flights offer to support the tourist sector
- To increase the budget for tourist activities
- To encourage investments in tourism
- To get the community involved in the tourist development
List of Volunteer Work activities: You will be involved in:
- To research and update information about culture and tourism
- To take pictures of tourist places for the office's collection (used for leaf lets, guidebooks, etc.)
- To translate tourist information to be used in printed information for English speaking tourists (other languages are useful too)
- To help with events related to art, music and dance promotion
- To help in any tourist feria that may go over during the volunteer placement.
- To sort out the existing tourist information
- To work in graphic design on post cards of the city, leaflets, etc.
- To help in Marketing and promotion of tourism
- To help on art and music workshops setup.
